About Us
This is one of the oldest departments of the University Institute of Technology (UIT) established in the year 1987. Department of Electronics & Communication was accredited by NBA for three years in the duration of 2004-07. Department is actively involved in providing quality education at both UG and PG levels. Department offers UG and PG programmes in B.E. (Electronics & Communication), M.E.(Digital Communication) and research programmes leading to Ph.D. degree. Department has experienced faculties in different fields of specializations who have completed their M. Tech. and Ph. D. from institutes of national repute like IITs and NITs. Department has several well-equipped labs such as Communication, Microwave, Microprocessor and Microcontroller, Digital Electronics, Network Lab and Project Lab where students are given rigorous practical sessions. Department has also established a new laboratory for VLSI design which comprises advanced Software and Hardware. Apart from the well-equipped labs the department also has its own Library and two computing labs, separately for UG and PG students with internet connectivity. Department of Electronics & Communication has also developed a new Seminar Hall with all modern multimedia facilities to enhance the personality of the student by organizing the seminar and training programs on the latest topics by eminent personalities of different fields which also helps students in preparation for campus interviews. Department of Electronics & Communication is also in the process of upgrading the lecture rooms with modern teaching aids and internet facilities.
